Just to say I've been keeping track of your progress online throughout your journey so far and think that what you have achieved is wonderful. We are going to Scotland ourselves for a couple of weeks from next Saturday and I'm going to get withdrawal symptoms not being able to check your progress during that time. At your present rate of progress I can't begin to guess where you might have got to by the time we return! With best wishes Hazel from Kent
Hi Seb -- It's Jon Kay here from BBC News. I can’t believe it's six weeks since we came to film you near Abroath. I've been following your progress online and tonight I'm sitting here at my kitchen table in Bristol asking myself; "What I have achieved since I saw Seb??" The answer: "Not much!" And then I look at your map -- and what you've achieved since then. Wow! I meet a lot of interesting people in my job -- but what you are doing is exceptional. It was a privilege to meet you -- and I promise Tim (the cameraman) and I will come to see you again later in your odyssey for another piece. The fish and chips are on us! I know there is a huge amount of interest in what you are doing. Keep going, mate. All the best, Jon
Hi Seb, All the kids from WOW are watching your progress and wishing you well, as we prepare to perform "Les Miserables" in the Nothe Fort at the end of the month. Their open-air performance and your walk are 2 good reasons to pray for fine weather! Hope you are singing as you go! Stella (secretary WOW Youth Musical Theatre)
Hi Seb,
we are still looking at your tracks
we are all so amazed how resiliant you
are. I hope Flash is ok from his acident.
Weve made lots of biscuits and sold
them weve collected about £50 in
3 or 4 weeks. My teacher has
orderd a Seb t-shirt and
goody bag. Our leavers concert
is about you. From Naima
class 7
Hi Seb,
You are doing fantastically! We have been following your progress with much interest as, before you, starting on 1st of January at Bognor Regis, a (now) 72 year old supporter of our charity started his ”WalkGB4Climb” in a clockwise direction! As a pensioner, Colin Snook is walking more slowly than you , and has no dog, but is making amazing progress, reaching Fort William on 4th July! How great it would be if you could meet!! He wants to CLIMB Ben Nevis on his “day off” (like you do) as well! We all think his biggest challenge will be the trek to Cape Wrath. Like you he has been amazed by everyone’s kindness.
Keep it up!

Hello Seb, Hope you are ok i cant believe where you it is amazing! Well done. Mitchell
I am one of the 12 birdwatchers (see his report) who happened upon Seb last Wednesday (25th June) in a lay-by looking across the water to Gruinard Island. He was just moving off as we were about to get out of our minibus when my friend Liz saw his backpack and realised who he was. We scrambled out pretty quickly and called him back to have a word. Several of us were only too pleased to donate to his charity effort there and then.We were all full of admiration for what he was doing and wish him well for the remainder of his journey and his safe return.
Kind regards, Margaret
Hiya Seb & your faithful friend Flash
We have been following your progress with interest since you left sunny? Weymouth. We cannot offer you anything apart from a pat on the back and a "Well done" when you both get back home after a succesful end to your awesome journey. (We live near Wool, just 10 miles from Weymouth so will be there to meet you). My wife and I both enjoy hill walking and have at least some idea of what you are going through. You have a superb group of "back-room" staff looking after you, and the administration and daily updates are always a joy to read. With support staff like this, how could you fail?. The very best of luck with the rest of your journey, and we look forward to reading your book on the adventure!. Simon & Shirley.
I thought I'd send a message of encouragement to Seb. "You've got a lot of the crinkly bits of the Scottish coastline behind you now so keep trundling on". Members of my family and I met Seb and Flash as they were waiting for the ferry to cross to Cape Wrath. We had spent the previous week on the north coast and can confirm that it was pretty cold for mid June. Since returning home I have been intrigued to follow his progress. I look forward to cheering him on when he reaches Lancaster. There's a hot bath and a bed if he's in need of one.
Good luck
Maggie
Dear Seb and Flash, Been following your progress for some time, Wonderful achievement. I have a beautiful picture of Glen Torridon in my kitchen, it's to inspire me to go and visit, lovely to share the view. Enjoying the photos on web page too.I'm not a dog owner but was very interested to read how Flash"s food has to be changed for different parts of the walk to give him the right amount of energy, Best wishes to you both, Ann. Romsey
Hi Seb,
You're doing so very well... you are amazing and inspirational! When the going gets tough, don't let it get you down... you have acheived so much already and everyone who knows you here in Weymouth is so proud that they do! Well done, and lots of love, Anna (Liz and Nevilles daughter)
We passed you today just after Sheildaig on the West Coast and stopped to make a wee donation. You looked damp, but were going steady amongst the showers and stunning scenery. Best of luch for the rest of your inspiring journey. And I hope you enjoy what I think is the most beautiful part of the country. All the best, and "may the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be at your back..."
Jo, Matt and Thijs

Hi Seb!
What an inspiration to your peers. Absolutely brilliant. I read about this epic trek in the RM Newsletter for June. I am sure if you apply for the Royal Marines you'll make it after this example of human endurance. Shame I only heard about it after you'd got through Essex because you're certainly one to meet.
Good Luck for the future in all you do. Nick G Summers

Hello Seb, You may remember having a glass of orange juice in our wee caravan in a lay-by at the top of a very steep hill at Berriedale on the A9 on a dreadfully wet day (3rd June). You were making for Durness that day to get a new harness for Flash from the post office. It was good to meet you and Flash; we’ll make a donation (and attach you a photo of you both) Best of luck for the rest of your walk. Safe Journey. Kath and Ian (Editor's Note - See Update Page for photo!)
Well Done Seb ~ Congratulations on reaching John O'Groats, a fantastic achievement Keep going and a tip ~ wear two pairs of socks then they rub against each other and not your skin, so I am reliably informed. Well done to Mary for all the updates really enjoying them and to Sue too. You must have quite a following around the world logging on now, remember that when some of the way seems lonely and tough. Woof to Flash He is doing brilliant too. Kind Regards Sally, Colchester
hi seb have a nice walk from katie roach
Hi Seb! Well done for reaching John O Groates, a real mile stone! I am reading about your progress daily, the highlight of my day. Everyone here, especially Dr Stanley, really enjoy hearing about your progress and can't believe how far you have got already. I am having a fund raiser for you in the hospital on the 19th June, hopefully we will be able to get some pennies for you. The ward has donated some teddies for a raffle. Keep going Seb and keep positive. Katie. PS. Anyone reading this in the Dorchester area who would like to donate, I will be in the Dorchester hospital restaurant all day on the 19th . All contributions gratefully received.

Hows Your Walk Going
Ur Dog Is So Sweet
toodalooo for now
p.s i think your doing a really good thing xizzyx
Hi Seb and Flash,
Glad that you have reached John O' Groats. Beyond Thurso is Dounreay with its former nuclear power station
which is being decommissioned, be careful that you don't glow in the dark like one of children in an old Ready
Brek ad. Further on is Durness and Cape Wrath, from there is the fjord-like west coast, have you learnt a bit of
Gaelic because many of the crofters who make their living from farming and fishing speak Gaelic. The main towns
on the west coast are Ullapool, Kyle of Lochalsh, Fort William and Oban. Further south is Ayr, just south of Ayr
was a former Butlins holiday camp where I stayed when I was 11 in May 1976, in that year was a long hot summer!
Enjoy your journey! Les
Well done, you must be very proud of yourself and your dog, hope he is enjoying what must be his longest ‘walkies’ ever! Hope you both make it all the way round, best of luck! Cheers, Dave Hodkinson
WELL DONE SEB. SAW YOU HAVE REACH JOHN O' GROATS THIS AFTERNOON ON TRACKING, GREAT TO WATCH. ANN, ROMSEY
My husband saw you on the road to Wick yesterday, he is cycling end to end. Good luck, what an amazing thing to do. Julie Jones
Good luck dude, hope the pooch's feet are still in good nick, yours too ; ) Bryan Connolly
Hi Seb – I just wanted to say well done and keep up the good work. Your story is truly inspirational and I am in awe of your dedication and commitment. I think you’re crackers as well but the greatest never became the greatest by sticking to the norm. Good luck and I really hope that you and Flash have an experience of a lifetime. Best wishes, James Hayward
Hello seb, I don't belive you are in scotland! i am amazed!!!!!. I hope you are ok e-mail you soon! from mitchell at Chester Park Junior School
Dear Seb Green,
the following message was written by the children in my school during assembly this morning when I used your story which I think is inspirational for young people everywhere. The key message that we got out of it was that it is always possible to move on after a mistake and prove to people that there is more to you than something that has happened in the past. I hope your walk is successful.
MESSAGE CREATED IN ASSEMBLY THIS MORNING
Dear Seb Green
How is your walk going? We hope you are not too hungry!
If you are ever nearby we would love you to visit our school which is The Grange Junior School in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
We all love your dog!
We think you are doing a really good thing because you are setting a really good example for other people and what you are doing could save other peoples’ lives.
We hope you are enjoying your walk and feeling happy.
From all the children at The Grange Junior School, Shrewsbury.
Hi Seb, Well done on getting so far in your walk. Keep going! From Jo. PS Flash looks very cute, I’ve always wanted a Border collie.
Hi, Seb,
My best wishes and admiration to you, from New Zealand.
I'm planning a similar walk, London to London, along a route somewhat
similar to your one, leaving London on 29 April 2009, and taking some 5
months to walk 4,000 kms. Not coastal.
My charities are to be The British Heart Foundation and the Rett
Syndrome Assoc. (U.K.).
I'm 67 years old and had quadruple heart bypass surgery in 1997, and now
it's time to give something back via these 2 wonderful charities.
I can at present only imagine the daily amount of walking you're doing.
I plan to average 20 miles daily, and I'm "in training" currently so
that it won't be such a shock when doing the venture.
I wish you all the very best, David Paterson
Hi Seb Hope all is going well and that you are getting some good weather. Good luck! It would be nice to know your route if it could be put on the website. You would be welcome to stay but we live in Birmingham so quite a long way from the coast, but get in touch if you will be near and would like accommodation for a night - we could pick you up. Good luck and well done! Cynthia
Hello seb, How are you? With all this rain i bet you are drenched! I was wondering if Flash likes walking in this rain? From Mitchell at Chester Park Junior School
Seb, I have watched what you are doing with growing pride in the responsibility you have taken to atone for your prank. If only more young people were like you then this country would have a very bright future indeed. Keep going, keep smiling and special wags to Flash from my three cocker spaniels who think he's epic!! Katie
Well done Seb & Flash.
I think that you deserve all the praise and publicity you can get. Good luck to you both. You should be very proud of yourself Seb, there aren't many people who would be bothered to make amends for a past mistake as you are doing and I am sure that the charities will be very grateful for the funds you are raising.
Hope that the weather is kind to you.
Michele
Good luck on your journey and well done !! Irene
Seb and Flash, We remember the original rescue on the news, so when we heard about what you were doing, and wanting to give something back, we were really touched. What you are doing is inspirational. We wish that other young people, who got into trouble, would do half of what you are doing. And, Flash, you keep your eye on your walking partner. He's a worthy friend!! best regards, dave and jan peddie
Hi Seb, What a wonderful thing you are doing. I caught your piece on the BBC news a few days ago. When you get back you could think about putting your experiences down on paper and publish a book in diary form. (similar to Greg Nicoll's book 'My Life as a Courier.' I'll try to keep track of your progress as the days go by. Good luck. Martyn Taylor, Trustee - Olgar Trust charity

Hi Seb and Flash, You are doing a grand job. Well done! Messages from our dogs - Alfie, Willow, Honey, Percy, Pasha, Sam and Titch - to Flash. Grrrreat. Jean.
Hey how’s it going? We are a G.C.S.E class from Newman College in Preston and we used your story to revise with and we wrote a letter to you encouraging you to do well.Word has gotten around about your odyssey and we all think that you barking mad and it is an impossible mission for someone of your age, but if you do manage to pull it off you’ll be a inspiration for us all so every credit to you. From all of us in Andrea Miller’s best class at Newman College
Hi Seb
The children at Chester park here in Bristol are very pleased that you have heard their song-.We were all disappointed that the nation didn't get to hear it on the radio and we sang it really loudly too! Here are the words as the children think its a good song for you to walk to - its to the tune of "Daisy Daisy"
Seb Green,Seb Green
Pick up your bag and go
We'll support you
Walking fast or slow
The journey wont be funny
but you'll make lots of money
So leave your bike
And take a hike
Just pick up your bag and go!
We were all very excited to be able to actually see you walking along with Flash and to see Flash's fabulous little boots. We made 120 biscuits and sold them for £27.70 the week before last and we made more for this Friday and sold them all but we havent counted the money yet.We plan to do some more sales for your charities and our families think its great! Love from all the children ,Mrs Phillips,Mrs Stoves and Miss Johnstone at Chester Park Infant School,Bristol.
Only picked up on the story early this week and have followed it daily. Good luck with the rest of your walk. Shonagh
Wow you are doing briliantly! I dont think i could ever do anything as briliant as what your doing!
I have just heard of your trip. I read about it in the Telegraph. You did the sort of stupid thing we all did in our early years (I'm 82 now) but most of us got away with. I am really impressed by your efforts and your determination to make things right. Please be sure that I shall be contributing to your chosen charity shortly. I wish you all the luck in the world. Phillip
I heard Seb’s story on the radio last week and was touched by it. I’ve told everyone I’ve met about it and had to find out more about it.Seb’s story should be told to all teenagers as part of the school curriculum. He is a real inspiration to others – reflecting on the cost to others of his actions. It’s made me cry, its not often I hear a story that makes me proud to be British – we need more stories like this.Well done Seb – will definitely be seeing you when you are close to Gloucestershire.I’ll continue to tell people about you and encourage them to sponsor you.Keep going, a real hero!! Rachel
I heard your story and interview on Five Live.At last an inspirational story amoungst another week of news that makes you despair of where this country is going. I cannot applaupd you enough and throughly admire what you are doing and will donate to your fund today! Good on you Seb, good luck and I hope you get lots of publicity on the way which inspires others! Johnny corn
Hi Seb, I am the strange guy who ran after you last night at Aberdeen beach area. Hope I did not shock you too much and was glad to be able to donate directly to the man himself! As I said we were captivated by your story on tv only the night before and recognised you and Flash straight away when driving home from work. There are not many young people with such a get up and go attitude and you are an example to all of us. You will pass newburgh today where we live, feel free to drop in for a break, we live right on the coast! Best wishes, Tom
Saw you on the news and am absolutely ‘ bowled over ‘ by your walk, I wish you all the luck in the world. Helen Cooling
A wonderful and inspiring gesture Seb. Very well done. Mr Pearson
Well Done so far Seb and Flash. Remember the old zen quote of the
mountain smasher. When you reach the top of the mountain.. keep
walking. Anecdotes aside i have found your story truly inspirational.
Not least because i love chesil beach and also have a border collie
called Spaldy. Hope to see you at Southport area, nearest to me for
Manchester. Regards Jack

Dear Seb, I have great admiration for you and your quest to "pay your debt", had I only realised you were in Portsmouth in February I defiantly would have come and walked with you a while. It is great to see the progress you have made, good on you. Good Luck for the rest of your adventure and I hope you can raise all that you hope to. Hannaxxx
Hi seb I heard you walked 10000 miles am I right. wow I can't believe it .well done. say well done too flash for me.from bethan.xxxx
Delighted that Sebastian is getting so much national coverage. As a journalist and broadcaster I can see the great value of the story. Just keep it up. Think of the support you are getting and enjoy the experience, even when the blisters come!Mike
Good luck with the trip. You're setting a brilliant example to others. Mike T
keep on keeping on! Jacob D
Well done Seb! I saw you on the news and I've just been sent a message about your site. good for you! I'm a 6th form teacher, currently on maternity leave and wish all 18 year olds were as good as you. This'll be an amazing experience for you. what fun! imagine all the great things you'll see on the way?! It'll be a great story to tell the grandkids! keep a diary if you can ,and i bet you could publish a book when you finish! oh, and take lots of photos! At times when it gets hard, just think when you're older and stuck working a 9-5, you'll wish you had the freedom to just go for a walk! Don't know if you've already done this but how about setting up a facebook group to get money?
good luck!
Best of luck with the walk, it's a fantastic endeavour. Louise F
Well done you! I am so impressed with your mature responsible attitude to making amends. Cazzie
Hi Seb,
I really had no idea how long this walk was. I thought you'd be making it to Cornwall in the next couple of months - I already thought you were doing something amazing, now I'm truly blown away. I've emailed everyone I know about your walk and asked them to support your Support Fund so hopefully you'll get some more money coming in soon - I wouldn't want you to go hungry! - you need those carbs.
I'm sure you must get some dark times and times when you wonder if you'll make it. I do a lot of running and in those times, I always try and break my run up into the most ridiculously small bits - I just run to the next tree, or bush or mark on the ground, which is usually just a few steps. After I've done this for about five minutes I've got over the dark patch and then I can go on. Hopefully you don't have too many of these and all this support is really helping you along.
Best of luck and keep at it! Mel, Dorchester
Good Luck! Hope you and Flash have a wonderful adventure together. Very inspirational, if only there were more like you willing to give something back Faye G
I greatly admire you - good luck Christeen
Seb, you’re an inspiration, it was so nice to hear some good news on the radio for a change. Your story is becoming legendary and you should be proud of yourself. You have a wonderful dog with Flash too. Good luck for the rest of the walk. Best Wishes, Mike and Sam (5)
Well done Seb. I heard you on the radio yesterday evening and thought you came across as a thoughtful and well balanced person. I am sure this long journey is just the beginning of something extraordinary that will become the rest of your life. You have already achieved far more than most people manage and I am sure you will be an inspiration to thousands of young people. Good luck and take care of your four-legged friend! Simon McKeating
Hey Flash,
Keep that master of yours in check and tell him he's a great lad and
to keep going!!
Woof! Bessie
2 year old collie
Hi Seb heard about you today on radio 4 and remembered from some previous coverage that you are in the TA. As an Officer in the Army Cadet Force I have been lucky enough to help a few young people begin to turn their lives around and will be telling the cadets at my Platoon about you, such a positive role model. I’ll also see if we can’t come up with some more concrete support/donation etc. Keep up the good work. Mike Potter LT ACF
Hey seb! WELL DONE! Can't believe how fast your walking! bloody brilliant if you ask me! keep it going! I am well proud to say that i have walked with you, you are really doing something amazing, and to flashes boots AWWW! I WANT that dog lol Best wishes Georgia
Hello Seb, Fantastic to hear how well you are doing and how far you have got despite the inclement weather – good to see you on the news today; as I said in my last message, you are a beacon to so many young people – really well done, keep on walking, hopefully the summer is ahead of you and although November seems an age away time will fly by. Hope Flash is bearing up - he must be the fittest dog in the U.K! Your Dad must be so proud of you. Looking forward to welcoming you back to Weymouth. Very best wishes, Seona and Len – DYOT Panel
I remember seeing the rescue of Seb and his friend on Seaside Rescue a few years ago and am full of admiration that he is now doing his walk to make amends.
Best wishes and good luck to Seb, Maggie ![]()
Dear Seb - a very big well done and I hope you achieve your aims. You're really rising above the rest now and what you're doing is wonderful. Well done, good luck, and love to Flash. xxx Sue B
Hello Mary, I learnt of Seb’s Odyssey from the BBC website and would like to pass on my best wishes to him for his epic journey. As a former Cadet Warrant Officer in the Air Training Corps, I spent my youth working with young people from many different backgrounds yet it never ceased to amaze me how easily, with a little support, positive encouragement and motivation, ‘bad apples’ could change for the better. There is no doubt that Seb’s remarkable commitment to make good his earlier mistakes and raise such a large amount of money for his chosen charities clearly demonstrates a finer quality of individual. I hope that he and flash are successful and that others learn from this fine example of what I can only describe as ‘exemplary citizenship’.Best Regards, Alex
Hello Seb and Flash What a great idea well done, Your parents must be very proud of you. Best Wishes John & Andrea Barnes
Good luck, safe journey and have a Happy Christmas when you get home. Dick W
An incredible acievement already. Alison
I saw you on the TV, well done, keep going! Kevin J

Just saw a progress update on BBC about what you are doing. I am so impressed! Seb, you must have so much courage and determination. You have values and a good heart to do this. Lately on the news there have been the tragic reports of two violent teenage deaths which is a complete contrast to your news story which is inspirational and made me well up with admiration for you. I hope your spirit and health keeps up, and that Flash is enjoying his jounrey too - I love those little booties! Well done to your support network too. Good luck! Leah from London

Great Excitement here at Chester Park Infant School !!
A man from Radio 4 is coming tomorrow to talk to us about why and how we are supporting you!
We are going to talk about all the things we have been doing like following your journey on the map-weighing your 23 kg ruck sack -making up poems and songs and so on .We are doing a concert about your journey which we will be performing for all our families in July,so we can sing one of our songs .We have also been baking biscuits to sell to our families to raise money for your charities. We think it may be on Radio 4 on Monday morning.
We can't wait for Monday when you and Flash set off again .We hope you are both ok and that you can do the next tricky bit of your jouney around Scotland. The coast does go in and out a lot.
Good luck and good wishes to you and woof to Flash.
Love from all the year 2 children ,Mrs Phillips,Mrs stoves and Miss Johnstone at Chester Park Infant school.
One week to go and counting.....looking forward to watching your blog again and hearing your news. We have missed you Sally xx
Hi Seb and Flash. Fatima here from Chester Park Infant school. I think it's great that you are walking all around Great Britain. Good luck on your walk and wolf wolf to Flash. From Fatima
Great effort Seb - keep going! Hope to see you at RMB Chivenor towards the end of the year Rick Hall
I’ve just been reading a little of Seb’s Easter Monday encounter with a group of ramblers. You ask where they were from. They were a group from the Dewsbury and District Rambling Club in West Yorkshire and included members from surrounding towns such as Batley, Birstall, Birkenshaw and so on. We were walking from Easington to Saltburn, nothing like the marathon which Seb is doing, but most are pensioners and find rambling a good way of both keeping fit and enjoying friendships. Got to admit that we had not previously heard of Seb’s odyssey but we shall be keeping a watchful eye on his progress and good luck to him. Cheers, Malcolm Haigh (one of the less frequent ramblers!)Howdy Seb and Flash! Just sending you a quick message to say a huge WELL DONE! For all yours and Flash’s fantastic walking and perseverance so far. We hope you are both fine and dandy and that you are looking forward to your training in Catterick. We hope it goes really well, and look forward to hearing all about it on the site. Flash; enjoy the relaxation back home while Seb is out being hardcore. Sending loads of Starlight Sparkle to you both from all the Starlight fairies in Paddington! Best Wishes, Abi (Abigail Taylor, Fundraising Team) abi.taylor@starlight.org.uk Tel: 0207 26 22 881
Many congrats on achieving Part 1 - have enjoyed keeping track via the website. Mrs Halse
Hello Seb, I have been reading your site and my admiration for your determination and perseverance knows no bounds. I went to the Eype beacon site near Bridport yesterday and I wondered if you will be walking along that part of the coastal path on the last -or almost last leg of your journey. I'm sure you have seen some wonderful sights on your phenomenal journey, but I hope the view of our beautiful Dorset spread out before you will always be special. Good luck for the TA training, Julie
Good Luck on the T.A. Basic Training Seb, hope it goes well. Lucie Pickersgill
Hi Seb,
Well done on your achievements to date.
Interesting how an endurance "walk-a-bout" can change the mind especially when one only has a non talking dog for conversation :-)
Confusion and communication can be like ying and yang at times! It is reassuring that both parties agree that "free & open honesty" is the best policy in the long run :-)
I follow your progress with interest, usually on a daily basis. I am impressed with your achievements and would like to sponsor you to the tune of a free "RYA National Powerboat Course" which is two days duration in Weymouth on one of my school's boats. This may sound strange considering your original activities, however it is offered in a positive proactive manner and I look forward to meeting you in person should you decide to take up my offer.
Kind regards
Steve

I was sitting in a pub in Kidderminster last week and over heard news of you adventures. I have finally caught up with your fabulous logs, and would like to congratulate you on your tremendous effort. My husband, having been a part of the local TA (WFR) would like to wish you all the best with the catterick training next week, although nothing will totally prepare you, what you have achieved so far is a really good start.Well done and keep going, Stephanie Kidderminster
Hi Seb, I have been totally amazed and impressed at the incredible achievements of your walk so far. I saw your picture in the Echo before you started and sponsored you something, but I did wonder if you'd actually make it - it really is a very long way! Your achievements have been spectacular and I'm confident that you will make it to the end. I've decided to sponsor you a bit more now and then give you some more when you finally make it to the end. That way you'll feel like it's still important to get there!!Very best of luck with getting round Scotland - I hope the weather is kind to you! From Mel Lane Dorchester

Love from All the year 2 children at Chester Park Infant School - Mrs Phillips,Mrs Stoves and Miss Johnstone(who is especially excited as she actually is Scottish)
Hi Seb, Just wanted to write in support of what you are doing. It’s brilliant to see any young person, especially one who was on the verge of going in the wrong direction in life, doing something so selfless. Wouldn’t it be great if all errant youth followed your example. You are a wonderful role model. When you have come home to Dorset, had a rest, celebrated, and spent time with family, I’m sure this experience and the determination and dedication you have shown will help you get a good job or go to college, whichever is your choice. Will donate something to your sponsorship appeal. Mona
We admire your determination and attitude. We will continue to follow your progress. Good Luck to you both. xx Alan, Susan and Pippa the Border Collie
An inspirational & charismatic young man....rare in this modern day. Well done & keep going! x Jennifer

Hello Seb, The children at Chester Park have been very worried about you this week as we imagined you with just a tent in this terrible wind. Its been very bad here in Bristol. We all thought it would be awful and so scary when your tent nearly blew away. We are also worried about your bad knee. We think you should rest it and get it right before you keep on walking. Also eat lots of fruit and veg as they keep you healthy and can help your knee to heal . We are glad you have cheered up and are not so fed up as you were last week. Class 7 think you should listen for the sound of bagpipes then you will know you are nearly at Scotland. Love from Class 7 and Mrs Phillips in Bristol.
Hi Seb, we have just got an update that you and Flash are in Yorkshire and are very excited, you're flying round like a rocket! Hope you guys are doing ok, keep up the fab walking, and let us know if you need another cap or some Harrods’ Gold. Sending loads of Starlight Sparkle your way! I feel that what Sebastian Green is doing is quite remarkable and wish to support his effort of being a fine example to todays youth which is being marred by a minority of out of control youth. Mr Alfille, East Sussex
Hi Seb. You have made really good progress to date, hope you and Flash make the most of this opportunity to rest and let your bodies recover before you start off again. Good news travels far - mum and dad read about you in Benidorm! They both wish you well and like us admire your determination. To me you have already achieved so much by actually starting this walk, so many people say "I am going to do" and then get put
off by the preparation and organisation of such a venture. So, well done to you and all that have helped you get this far. Keep your spirits up and take care. Love Nicky and Rebecca xxx
Hi Seb. Just to let you know we felt vey priveleged to have assisted you with a couple of nights accomodation. I have no doubt that you will achieve all that you set out to do you have the determination and fortitude to make it through to being a Royal Marine and winning the Green Beret.

It is one month since we waved you off from Weymouth Beach. Each week we have looked to see how far you have travelled and marvelled at the distance you have covered. Some of the class were getting anxious about Flash and then very relieved when he was given some doggie boots. We wish you luck for your next months walking Seb. Congratulations on all you have done so far.
Robin Maslin and Class 4M at Wyke Regis Junior School, Weymouth
Well done so far fantastic effort, your so far ahead you should be back next week. see you soon Jimmy.
Hi from Brisbane, Australia,
I shouted myself a cuppa and homemade lunch 2 days ago in little English enthusiasts shop in the seaside town of
Redcliffe. I read a British newspaper there and there was an article about Seb and Flash.
I love that he has made a mistake and now he has thought up this creative idea to make it right!
Please pass on my best wishes and tell him I will be following his progress. (What's this about auctioning Flash? - I don't get it!)
If he achieves his aims, this will be the foundation stone for long and productive life.
Best Wishes, Dana Moon
[Editor's note: No, we're not auctioning Flash! One of Seb's supporters, Cathy of http://www.raggyrat.co.uk/ has produced a beautiful picture of Flash for us to sell to raise more funds for Seb's charities when he finishes. Please contact suecraxton@lineone.net to get more information]
Hello Seb -Its class 7 and Mrs Phillips again. We are impressed you are already in Norfolk and nearly raised £2000. Well done-but sorry for you with blisters. Some of us have P.E. shoes that rub so we know how that feels.
We have got a ruck sack like your big one and we are filling it with 1kg bags of stuff to see what 23 kg feels like to carry. We could get it on our back when it had 4kg in it but now it has got 11kg and we cant even lift it! Please can you tell us what you have in your ruck sack? We guess a tent, washingstuff, toothbrush, torch, maps, mobile, a saw to chop down trees for fire wood, a spade to dig on the beach, dog food ,dog shoes, t shirt, pants, socks, bed. Hope Flash is not wet tonight in your tent!
Love from class 7 and Mrs Phillips, Chester Park Infants , Bristol.
May Seb and his dog achieve the £20,000 & hope his feet are not too sore. Good Luck, Adrianne
It is so refreshing to hear of a young man's determination and strength to be so public about his past misdemeanour and have the strength to change his life.
Well done,
Patricia & family
Hello Seb and Flash!
Class 8 here from Chester Park Infants again! We were sorry to hear that you had had a bit of a setback and are so glad that you are well away again. It must get lonely for you at times. We were wondering what you do to keep yourself cheerful? We think you are very resiliant and we check your progress twice a week. This week all the year 2's in our school have been trying to make up a back pack like yours which weighs 23kg. We can't believe you can walk carrying all that weight - we can hardly lift it! Keep on moving!
Love from Class 8 and Mrs Stoves
Good luck!
Miss Mclaren
Hi Seb, Well done you! Everyone here following your progress you are doing really well. Give Flash a big hug from me. Have a good rest and look after those blisters. Take care, see you soon love Hazel x (Home Group Housing Association)

Hi seb, just wanted to say well done for trying as hard as you can to raise money by starting to walk round the coast. We are keeping track of your route on your website. I hope you have got lots of company from
your dog Flash and people let you stay in homes. And also we are looking on your website every week in school to see where you are. So keep trying and don' t give up. From George and Josh woof woof to your dog Flash!!
Just wanted to say well done for walking so far, I knew you could do more
than 20 miles a day, sorry you got ill, been keeping up with the news, miss
you, you are doing a really good thing and brave too, and all those things
to flash as well, obviously, good luck (not that you need it) for the rest
of your walk for both you and flash, hope you don’t come to any more
dangers. Hope all you dreams and wishes come true, with completing the walk
and the rest of your future. Shannon
Hi seb,I know you are very sorry of what you did and it's gonna take you a whole year to walk round the coast of britain.Well good luck.Megan.ps woof woof to Flash
I saw a news item about your project on regional TV whilst staying in Cornwall, and I was so impressed by your positive attitude and willingness to do something so worthwhile. If we'd been back at home on the Kent coast when you passed by we'd have gladly offered B&B - maybe we'll run into you elsewhere as we do a lot of coastal walking on our holidays! I'll be donating to the support fund and to the charities, and wish you all the very best on your great adventure. Look after yourself (and Flash) and don't overdo it - you've got a long way to go yet! Best wishes, Hazel
Best of luck, Dewi
I noticed with interest the round Britainwalk by Seb Green. I am the operator of the Wallasea Island to Burnham on Crouch Ferry Service (the Crouch is the next River North of the Thames) whilst we are not operating before Easter I would be happy to provide a complimentary pasage to Seb and his dog by prior arrangement. My website is www.ladyessex.com Regards Gary (Thanks Gary! Your mobile number has been passed to Seb as requested and he will be in touch!)
Hi Sebastian,
You are doing so well, wot an achievement, i still cant believe that the
little baby i used to look after is the good looking chap i see here!! You
keep going and dont over do it... take care mate..Love Lucy (Liz and Nevs
daughter!) xxxx
Hi
I was very impressed to read about Seb's story in the Daily Mail on 2nd Feb and I hope he will inspire other young people to take responsibility for the consequences of their actions - including making reparation.
I was disappointed the Daily Mail didn't give any donation details however I have found http://www.sebsodyssey.org.uk/flyermk2.html on Google and I will be helping Seb's cause.
If I lived on the coast I would offer Seb shelter for the night and I wish him all the very best.
Good luck.
Jez. PS I hope Flash is doing OK too!
Seb, I heard about you and good luck. I am 318 days into my 5,000 mile trip with 135 miles to go to my finish at lands End. This will be almost exactly 5,000 miles. My average is 15.3 miles per day and this has been done in chunks from 1 day to 35 days over 5 years. I am organising a LEJOGLE club. Please keep in touch and if you want any advice (though I went the other way round!) let me know, especially cape Wrath and Knoydart (I definitely recommend you are joined on these legs, they can be very dangerous when tackled alone and it can snow even in June). Loneliness is a problem and the relentlessness of walking as a day job so if you want any encouragement in the summer let me know. It will be nice to join you for a leg or two going the other way round. I didn’t take ferries at all and some of SW coast path in winter may mean lengthy detours, but that is a long time yet. Most of all Good luck! I live in Birminghamso can’t offer any accommodation!! Regards, John Chatterton
Hi sebastian and Flash cant believe how much you have both achieved so far well done. Keep going forward. Proud of you love your big sis xxx ![]()
Good luck Seb and dog! The YADAS team, Bournemouth & Poole YOT
Hi Seb
Its class 7 from Chester Park Infants in Bristol again .Fantastic that you're nearly at London. We are wondering if Gordon Brown or the Queen will come and see you as they live there. Please can you answer a question for us ?How heavy is your back pack that you carry each day? We want to see if we could lift it. Looking forward to seeing a picture of Flash in his dog boots.Love from Class 7 and Mrs Phillips.x Editor's note - Seb says his pack weighed 23kg when he left Weymouth and he's bought a few extra's since then!
Seb, You are just short of Chatham, get some ‘scran’ from the Bootnecks at RMR London at Chatham! The next pit stop will be RMR London, RMR Tyne, Edinburgh, Dundee and then call in at 45 Commando at Arbroath! It’s a long way round to the boys at Fleet Protection, and another slog to RMR Liverpool. Yet a longer yomp to RMR Bristol, then into Commando country with 40 at Taunton, 42 at Bickleigh and CTCRM at Lympstone (You could always stop there and start training!) I am sure you would be welcome anywhere along the route at any RM base, regular or Reserve. Good Luck with your walk – and your RM career!! Regards Mark Beresford Ex Royal (Editor's note - we did try at Chatham but they all knock-off at 1130 am apparently so we missed them!)
I admire your ambition and wish you well and will follow your progress-good luck !!! Buster
Not many of your readers know that Seb trained and passed his exams to
obtain an Amateur Radio Licence when he was still at school. He was the
youngest person to have passed for his licence at the time, an achievement
in itself!
Wyke Regis Training Centre wishes Seb every success in his walk. All the
lads and lasses are following the daily diary on your web site. Keep going and best wishes from Neville Bridle (M5NEV)

Please pass on my best wishes to Seb & tell him I think it's a great quest
to do. he must remember a good proportion of success in the fact that 'A
of it is in the mind'. Please also tell him about my website which is
www:adamsrun.co.uk which maybe of interest to him (or not) as a former
Royal Marine I know exactly what he will need to achieve to get there! Kind Regards
Adam

Hi Seb - so inspired by what you are doing! If there were more people
like
you in the world, we'd be so much better off! So many people feel
'entitled', blame others, make excuses, and you are a shining example of
taking a different route. I hope it all goes brilliantly and that when
you
are done you find a way to continue on your inspired pathway - you've got
what we need! I'm donating today to the support fund. Lisa, Cambridge.

Really touched by why you are doing this, Seb. You’ve restored my faith in young people. Good luck! Miss Y
